Doors Open Milwaukee is an event where, for two days, buildings in Milwaukee celebrate art, architecture, culture and history by opening their doors and welcoming in the public. For the first time, 310W joined the Doors Open celebration and invited the public to come and explore. The event offers us a great opportunity to showcase the building as a place to gather and work in Westown.

310W originally opened its doors in 1983 and was designed by the Chicago firm of Perkins & Will under the direction of noted lead designer Voy Madeyski. In late 2017, New York City-based Time Equities Inc. (TEI) purchased the property with intending to invigorate the building and in turn, downtown Milwaukee. Part of this commitment was to make the building a central spot for both tenants and the community to enjoy.

TEI has committed to $30 million in improvements to make the vision for 310W a reality. Current renovations include new atrium finishes and skylight, upgraded elevators, public art and a WIFI lounge. Future plans include a fitness center, co-working space, tenant lounge, a communal café on the Mezzanine level and further large-scale art installations. To make the building more interactive, 310W is also part of both TEI’s Art-in-Buildings program and Sculpture Milwaukee. Today, 310W has become a place for the community and tenants to gather in the heart of downtown.
